How Far Is It, Really? Introducing Lifestyle Intelligence on Domus Inventum

Every property listing says it's close to something. Close to the beach. Close to good schools. Close to the marina. It's the most common phrase in real estate marketing, and also the least useful one - because "close" rarely comes with a number, and even when it does, there's no way to know if it's accurate.

We think buyers deserve better than that. So we've changed how location information works on Domus Inventum.

What's new

Every listing on the platform now shows real, measured travel times to the places that actually shape day-to-day life - airports, marinas, golf clubs, international schools, hospitals, beaches, and more. Not a vague claim in a property description, but a specific, calculated number: 5 minutes to Puerto Banús, 8 minutes to a certain college, 3 minutes to the nearest golf club etc.

You'll find this in a new panel beneath the map on every listing page, organised simply around how people actually think about a location: getting around, lifestyle, and everyday essentials.

Why we built it this way

This isn't just a nicer way to present information, it reflects something we care about across the whole platform. Domus Inventum was built on the idea that visibility and trust should come from substance, not spin. Our Listing Quality Index already applies that thinking to the listings themselves, rewarding completeness and accuracy rather than who spends the most, or has the biggest portfolio. This is the same principle applied to location: verified facts, not adjectives.

Meet Oraculum

This feature is the first properly visible piece of something we've been quietly building for a while: Oraculum, our geographic reasoning engine. Oraculum is the system behind how Domus Inventum understands place; not just coordinates on a map, but the relationships between neighbourhoods, towns, and the amenities that define how someone actually lives somewhere. Our Invenio guides are powered by Oraculum data, but now you get to see it in action.

The nearby places panel is Oraculum's first public feature, but it won't be the last. It's the same foundation that will power smarter, more precise search in the future. The kind where you can look for a home within a certain distance of a school or a marina and get an answer grounded in real data, not guesswork.
