Our Story

A platform shaped by experience.

Built on trust, and inspired by a belief that discovering exceptional property should feel exceptional.

We didn't set out to build another property portal

Domus Inventum didn't begin with a business plan.

It didn't begin with funding rounds, market research or the ambition to disrupt an industry.

It began with a question.

Why does discovering exceptional property still feel harder than it should?

For years, we accepted that this was simply how the industry worked.

Buyers searched.

Agents advertised.

Portals listed.

Everyone adapted.

Yet something always felt missing.

The homes were often extraordinary.

The experience rarely was.

Eventually we stopped asking how to work around the limitations of existing platforms.

We started asking a different question.

If we were designing a property platform today, knowing everything we've learned over decades in the industry, what would we build?

Domus Inventum is our answer.

A lifetime of experience

Between us, we've spent more than four decades working in luxury real estate.

We've represented remarkable homes.

Worked with buyers from around the world.

Handled discreet off-market opportunities.

Built agencies.

Developed brands.

Weathered changing markets.

Like almost every estate agency, we've spent years working with the major property portals.

We've watched online property search evolve from its earliest days into an essential part of buying and selling homes.

In fact, our connection to that evolution goes back further than many people realise.

When Rightmove was still finding its feet, one of our agencies was among those helping test the platform during its early development. At the time, it felt like the beginning of something transformative.

It was.

The internet changed property forever.

But over time, something else happened.

The industry became increasingly focused on volume.

More listings.

More advertising.

More competition for attention.

And somewhere along the way, the experience of discovering exceptional homes became secondary.

Living with the same problems

Working in real estate gives you a unique perspective.

You don't experience property portals occasionally.

You live inside them.

Day after day.

Year after year.

You begin to notice the same frustrations appearing again and again.

Beautiful homes presented with little context.

Communities reduced to search filters.

Duplicate listings.

Outdated information.

Advertising competing with the very properties people came to see.

Technology that often created more complexity than clarity.

None of these issues existed because people lacked talent or ambition.

They existed because the platforms had been built for a different era.

We found ourselves adapting our businesses to fit the software rather than the software adapting to the people who used it.

At some point, the obvious question became impossible to ignore.

Could property search be designed differently?

Looking beyond property

Real estate shaped our understanding of people.

It wasn't the only influence.

Growing up around a family law practice meant privacy, accountability and professional responsibility were never abstract concepts.

They were simply part of everyday life.

Later, working alongside accountants reinforced something equally important.

Accuracy matters.

Records matter.

The smallest details often matter the most.

Alongside all of this came another passion.

Technology.

For many years we've designed and built websites, exploring how thoughtful design, clear information and well-crafted user experiences can make complicated things feel effortless.

At first glance these worlds appear unrelated.

To us, they've always belonged together.

Buying property is one of the most important decisions people make.

Technology should support that journey.

Privacy should protect it.

Design should simplify it.

Trust should underpin every interaction.

Building the platform we always wanted

Domus Inventum wasn't created to compete with existing property portals.

It was created to solve the problems we'd spent years experiencing ourselves.

Every significant feature exists for a reason.

Not because it was fashionable.

Not because competitors offered something similar.

Because we believed it genuinely improved the experience.

The Listing Quality Index exists because exceptional homes deserve exceptional presentation.

Residential Guides exist because discovering a place should involve understanding its character, not simply its postcode.

Oraculum exists because artificial intelligence should assist people, explain itself and remain transparent.

Our Privacy Centre exists because people shouldn't need legal expertise to understand how their personal information is used.

Verification exists because trust should be earned.

Exclusivum exists because truly exceptional properties deserve to be curated, not simply listed.

Even the smallest details across the platform usually begin with the same question.

Would this genuinely help buyers, sellers and agencies?

If the answer is no, it doesn't belong.

More than technology

Working in the luxury market teaches you something important.

Luxury isn't defined by price.

It is defined by care.

The quiet confidence that every detail has been considered.

The understanding that restraint is often more powerful than excess.

The professionalism that clients remember long after a transaction has completed.

We've tried to bring that same philosophy into Domus Inventum.

Not through unnecessary complexity.

But through thoughtful simplicity.

Generous white space.

Clear typography.

Honest language.

Transparent technology.

Features that solve real problems rather than create new ones.

Because exceptional experiences rarely shout.

They simply feel right.

Principles before features

Technology changes quickly.

Principles should not.

Every decision we make is guided by a small number of beliefs.

That quality should matter more than quantity.

That trust is earned through transparency.

That artificial intelligence should always remain understandable.

That privacy should never feel hidden behind legal language.

That communities deserve stories, not just statistics.

That beautiful homes deserve beautiful presentation.

These ideas influence every feature we build, every policy we publish and every experience we design.

The journey continues

Domus Inventum is still evolving.

The property market will continue to change.

Artificial intelligence will become more capable.

Expectations will continue to rise.

The platform will evolve alongside them.

What won't change are the principles that inspired it in the first place.

We didn't build Domus Inventum because we wanted another property portal.

We built it because we believed discovering exceptional property deserved a better experience.

Everything we've created since has simply been our way of proving that belief.
